Sammy here's a thought to fix the max player problem in tourneys
How about if a guys signs up & doesn't play he gets penalized 100 points. If he's excessive in doing this, 30 day suspension. Today's 3pm Horja showed up at 356 to play. Complete & utter bullshit

Bring back the 15 minute auto boot rule. Too many players like Vladfan last night, auto folding to a pathetic cash. If you're more than 15 minutes late, you simply don't deserve to play. Especially when these 3 tourneys always fill hours ahead of start time. You're obviously taking the seat of another player who would not only show up, but show up on time.
Show some consideration. If you can't play, don't register.

I agree you should be booted but a points reduction is warranted as well. Horja said he was out "playing soccer"?? Show some Fukin respect for others

I would be in favor for a pts reduction. The only problem is the majority of violators are broke dikks, who don't have 100 pts to deduct.

sign up early or you have nothing to complain about...have your spouse/girlfriend/friend do it for you if you are working or unable to...problem solved.

It would make a ton more sense to change the opening times of reg than expecting SBR to create some poker no-show task force.
How about 30 or 60 minutes before start to ensure those who sign up will be available?

I agree....The shortage problem is magnified from those signing up with no intentions of playing. Taking seats from others who want to play, while taking advantage of the no entry fee. Now if there was an entry fee to bolster payouts, I'm sure these inconsiderate broke dikks would think twice before signing up & not showing.

Meh, life happens...for most people, freeroll poker is at the bottom of the priority list, and rightfully so. I've rarely had a problem signing in to play a tourney when I remember to do so ahead of time, and when I do miss it it ain't the end of the world....last time that happened, I played one for real money and ended up taking down 2nd for more $$ than anyone's getting from a year worth of SBR dailies.
If you're playing, a non-playing person is something you should want at your table anyways. You're not going to be able to stop people from occasionally no-showing when the buy-in is free....it's just something you have to accept about freerolls.

I doubt anyone is signing up with no intention to play; stuff comes up....you might not have anything else going on in your day besides collecting subsidies, playing freerolls and waiting to flip points, but most of us do and might miss tourneys because of it. I agree that entry fees would discourage it; the problem is there are many people who won't play if the entry fee is more than 10 points, either because they're 'broke dikks' when it comes to points (usually because they choose to spend time making money instead of a handful of points) or (like you) are too scared to pay more than a pittance to enter a tournament

I'm all for adding an entry fee (maybe 10 pts?) that would be added to the prizepool. That might take some people out of the equation. Carseller would piss his daily 12 away in the casino at 1 tick after midnight and be assed out.

What "I don't have going on" is being a slave to the grind like you, while Waves is making his tee times.

Good luck proving I didn't enter a tourney due to a measly entry fee, when sitting on 75k.

What's the hate on working people? I mean I have a pretty good job, and I would rather have plenty of money and a little time to spend it, then have less money and just free time doing nothing because I can't afford to do anyone cool. Just me though..

It would also pay for most of a 4th prize pool so SBR could offer the precious 9pm everyone begs for

If any of us wanted to "retire" like you, we could; we'd just quit jobs and grab some subsidies like you. Not exactly something to be proud of, but looks like your options are limited in things to take pride in.
Prove what? You don't ever play the weekend tourneys with a buy-in, but you're in every beat the prick freeroll and every daily freeroll...easy connection to make, and especially funny when you're trying to make fun of guys who spend time playing weekend tourneys, when you do the same but only when it's free

For sure....tough call though, free entry might very well be a better deal for many who might not win the 2k+ points they'd pay to enter otherwise.

I rather have less but enough $, and just free time enjoying retirement because I can afford to.
I worked for 25 years, so obviously nothing against working folks. Just a playful dig at Tripe, guess you don't read the forum often. Some people will have to work until the day they die for either financial reasons, or they just can't figure out how to amuse themselves once retired & they return to work. I feel sorry for these people.
Many wait to retire at age 62 for social security reasons. Only to kick the bucket prior to 62, never getting to enjoy retirement. I decided to retire early at 43 because I could financially afford to & my family has history of heart problems. Dad died from heart attack at 53, didn't make it to retirement.
I had widow maker heart attack 2 months ago at age 46, with no business surviving. Only survived due to quick emergency response & very good doctors with modern medicine advancements to work with. If I didn't make it, at least I had 3 years to enjoy my early retirement decision.
Moral of story, enjoy the fruits of your labor before you croak. You can't take your excess $ with you when you die. Guess you could fit your million bucks in casket, but won't do you any good.

If "you could," then it only further demonstrates your ignorance not to.

So you're saying the dailies were always free?
And when the dailies weren't free, you're saying I didn't pay the buy in?
Apparently Tripe is like POS, incapable of telling the truth.

Maybe 25 pts? An extra 1000 pts per tournament could be divided as bounties? Headhunters are fun and they speed up the action
