Any way there could be a NON WSOP tourny for us SBR with a 40 point buy in or something? Im sure alot of us would like that option and simply split those points between the top 10 and have nothing coming out of SBR wallet?

Problem is the payout structure; if it's 40 point buy-in and 10 get paid out of a field of even 50, 1) it'll still be the same shovefest the current ones are now, and 2) that's still only 2000 points in prizes; if distributed anywhere near normally, 10th place would get about 15 points, with 5th maybe getting 100....not much better than this format, and costs you 40 points to boot.
Look at it this way: instead of a return to 10 pt buy ins and places paying out like 15 points, you're saving 2/3rds of that mincash every time. At some point, "winning" for such a small amount isn't winning...and if it's that important to you, you're making 80% of a mincash just for logging in. Congrats
