I have some points that are sitting with a 3X rollover in my poker account. So the question is, how can I play them? The status just shows as pending.

Go to the ring games and when you click on seat open it will bring up a Buy-in menu. Click on the tab that say poker points available and it will list your points in poker rollover account and select to play.
Then dominate the rings games, finish ring games, and cash out all the points your heart desires.
