for the record my 78 was suited, I would have been eliminated if I didn't split this hand as 4k had me covered in terms of chips. And of course I went onto win the tournament after this hand. Cracked a 2 outer on the river earlier as well for a bunch of chips. Been a very lucky day. Love it when SBR turns on the switch for me.

Ouch, that's pretty sick. I've played with Triple quite a bit though and I have to say that that call is a bit out of character. He's a solid player from what I've seen.

                    He is.
It was a RO and Trip didn't didn't feel like exercising patience w/it.
Other than perhaps bobbywaves (who likes to chop $1.90 pt pots with eberetta)... we've all done similar with RO.

As for tat's over-the-top annoyance, it seemed to have sumpthin' to do with him not being old enough. Lots of muttering bout middle-age. Maybe he's pissed he missed "BJ and the Bear" in primetime?

Not really sure what the problem was, but if he started to hang out with no1here and Centaur, he'd be a lot more mellow.

As biter said, not always patient with rollover, especially when multi-tasking. It's fun to donk it up every once in a while, even if it's for pennies...appreciate the complement though

                              that seems high

Suited & unsuited connectors and get a majority of their value from being able to connect with so many combinations of straight draws. The fact that two people had 87 and two 8's came on the board is rare, but it does nothing to change the amount of straight combinations. Therefore Aces are nearly the same % fave vs. 2 people with 87 as they are against one.

yes, it's possible to get a straight (or a flush), but anytime someone is holding your hand, that vastly reduces your chances of pairing both cards or hitting trips.

Overpair against suited connectors appears to be roughly 79% in general, but it would be higher in this case.

And the fact that it happened with all 4 8s coming out just adds to it.

nevermined...it would be higher but only slightly. how much depends on if any of the 87 are suited. If both were suited Aces would be a smaller favorite.

the other 87 was not suited, making a flush less likely there

Horrible calls by Tripe are not the least bit surprising. Consequently, he's losing our challenge by 2k.
