I would assume a very outsize proportion of the vig is built-in to the "names" (including, of course, Hollywood), but no matter on whom you bet, I'd urge extra caution.

You're way off base here. Two-thirds of the field (or more) should be 5,000-1 to make the final table. Of the remaining 3,000 or so, the majority of the players who aren't on this list will be interested in making the money and surviving than making the final table - a guy like Flack or Mortensen, who possess all the talent of Ivey or Hellmuth, and isn't afraid to bust out early, makes the final 10 at least 1 out of 100 times.

There is no value on those odds. And the odds on the 'top' players are so off. It's ridiculous. Ivey +2400??? Negreanu +3000??? C'mon.....

Out of all the 'top' names on the list I'm surprised John Phan still is the standard +20000, so I guess he'd be the closest thing to a good value.
