Why make everyone else wait for your time to wind down if you can't make it to the table within 15 minutes?

It's a trade off for not spending 30 minutes waiting for no shows to go out of chips, that was the reason the rule was implemented in the first place.

I like the rule.
There was one tournament before it was implemented where I was the only one at my table that was actually there. I had to spend an hour just taking their blinds lol

at worst this would happen one time. afterwards I would be "sitting out" and software would fold my hand instantly until I returned

I am not a fan of the rule, however I open SBR poker and let it pop up. As long as I have been logged in I have not been booted. I have missed tourneys due to traffic and couldn't get home on time.

If you paid nothing to enter it is no big deal, but if you had to pay points to enter then the points should be refunded to you if they remove from from the table. At the WSOP if you dont show up you just lose your blinds and are not kicked out of the game.

We could relook at this rule and fine tune it. Because we like to offer small tourneys like the 45 man tourneys that pay 9, that run for 1.5 hours for the winner we need to get the no shows out of the way. The final table can come at times in 40 minutes.
We want everyone playing in these small tourneys to know that at the 16th minute you can be assured everyone at the table is playing.

Screw that...start time is start time....any fukkin guy who sits on the dumper for 15 minutes is doing more than adjusting gross weight....he's shining his monkey...and wants people to wait for him while he's polishing his pickle...maybe at other sites, but not here....come on Also...survey's say if you sit on top of it for 15 minutes you smell like it for the rest of the day

Rookie?
You're the rookie. I saw this happen just this last week. Guy didn't show up and his hand counted down each hand for 15 minutes. This is precisely why I made my post.
Maybe it's another bug in the software that causes this to still happen for some players.
