Considering I'll be applying for dealer jobs in Atlantic City in the next few months, this is great news.

How'd you like it? The job market locally isn't much to look at until Harrah's Horseshoe opens up in Downtown Baltimore, so I'm expanding my search.

Yes it very hard to get in the places you want to work. Guys at Parx and Harrah's chester are doing pretty well. Obv Borgata is really were you wanna be in AC.
I enjoyed it, easy cash every day. It's a lot different now though...
Good Luck, FYI the Class is a waste of time. You just need to get an audition...

Best hope is that this creates a domino effect when other states see NV and NJ making money. Problem is so far the two states have not agreed to share player pools as of yet... hopefully they do sooner than later. With large player pools it will become more attractive for other states to join in.
NJ could have a really large player pool along with everyone close by in PA NY and DE coming to stay in NJ to play where ever they can.
There is just a ton of Grinders and regular gamblers in that area...

I have heard very little of anything about internet poker coming down here to FL. I get the feeling that the situation here in FL is a little different, but I don't pretend to understand FL politics.

Florida is different...though some people who don't live here will swear up and down it isn't.
Industry watchers expect Florida gaming legislation to resume in about a year, after a study of gaming’s economic impacts has been conducted by Spectrum Gaming Group to better guide law makers’ decisions.
They have a fall session, but I wouldn't expect anything to get done until the Spring at the earliest.
Even with Florida, this site probably won't really be worth playing until states like New York, Ohio, Illinois, California are thrown into the mix to increase the player pool.

Isn't poker stars coming also? Poker stars players who play in nj will get access to the rest of world poker players. The poker stars action will be great compared to ultimate
that means ultimate poker is going up against the Goliath of the industry .

Every thing I have heard and read says they have been unsuccessful in attaining the licenses required and are now in a legal battle with the casino they were about to purchase. They were for sure the front runners in this but now it dosent look so good for them at the moment...
a whole lot of politics going on with this and not just with NJ Government officials.
