I shove often with AK, but I wanted to improve my game.
In my opinion, AK is overrated.
            So I've tried the following:

            zwoeins: Raise [btn] ($6000)
            craigb1313: Fold
            playersonly69: Fold
            HeeeHawwww: Call ($4000)

What do you think he had?

Probably some mid to lower pocket pair or some connector type hand. Doesn't really matter does it? If he bets or shoves the flop you can't really do anything unless you hit a piece of it. If you shove and everyone folds you pick up 5000 chips which is about 30% of your stack. That's pretty big. If you shove and someone calls you're likely either flipping or dominating the caller. AK is what it is. It's a good hand, but you get the most value out of it when all 5 streets are seen.

Yeah the obvious answer is shove. Plus playing against HeeeeeHaww you should've picked up on the fact he never folds, so your AK is most likely better than whatever he's holding, and in some instances (like this one) you have him dominated preflop.
