Jim Hart
There simply was not a better pure passer than this guy. He spent about all of his career with sub-par Cardinal teams and was never given the credit he deserved. The game was a lot tougher for quarterbacks and passing offense in those days, too.
Steve Bartkowski
One of the toughest and best pocket quarterbacks of his era, who was mostly overlooked due to the mediocre Falcons teams.
Jeff George
Many would disagree with this and I understand why. Hard to say what happened to him -- personality issues?, untimely injury issues?, bad coaching, lack of supporting personnel in many cases? However he was as tough a competitor as there ever was. When his game was working, there was NO ONE better.
Archie Manning
He was a far better athlete than either of his NFL sons, and given the chance, a better passer. He was tough as nails and had no problem early in his career with ramming his shoulders into oncoming linebackers (you might say thias could have been a fault, but that was his competitive nature). He was honorable and hard working as they came. His fault? He played with an absolute CRAP team, that did compensate him very well.
