    Andre Agassi said on Saturday he would retire from tennis after the U.S. Open this year. The announcement came at Wimbledon, where he won the first of his eight Grand Slam singles titles in 1992 when he beat Goran Ivanisevic.

      The timing seems about right. You could make the case he hung on a bit too long but he enjoys his tennis and probably wanted to be 100% sure he wasn't bowing out with one more major victory still in him. He's definitely not retiring too early.

          i felt he probly should have retired last year with all those back problems he was having.
