I'm looking for a proven capper to buy pics from. I know the ones that are good are also expensive. Anyone out there using one that would like to share in the expense? Thanks.

#3Hi Tink.
My advice would be to NOT PAY a cent EVER, for some one elses picks. You can and will do as well with your own selections, no matter how good/bad you think they are, and what's more they're free.Comment -

#4there really isn't a proven capper out there that i would pay for picks.
oh sure... they may claim to hit 80% winners, but that bullshit!
my advise to you bud. checkout the sport picks section here at SBR, and either follow him or fade him all the time. that is if your not the best at capping lately.Comment -

#5If you've got your heart set on paying a tout then all I can say is good luck.
I hope you would consider the lessons of countless people before you and not do it though. Touts are mainly about marketing, not capping. They will lie to you to get into your pocket. It's theoretically possible that there are good ones out there, but they are definitely the exception. When it comes to picking winners, most touts are about as accurate as a coinflip.
IMO you would be better off looking at forum cappers (for free). Ignore any talk of unposted picks (everyone seems to do startlingly well on unposted picks). Just believe what is recorded. If you can find someone who is making money after a significant number of plays (at least a hundred. 200 would be better), then coat-tail them. Don't get caught up in hot streaks; you want someone who is winning after a large number of picks.
Like I say, that's a much better approach than paying a tout IMO.Comment -

#8i would be willing to bet a dime that if you purchase jimmy vacarros private level football season, about $2500,you will make at least $2500 net profit betting between $500-$1000 per game as recommended.its no fun fronting the cash, but jimmy is the real deal.currently dave cokin is offering free baseball picks at eog, most likely to impress for upcoming football season.keep in mind that free picks are good for $100 bets max.a good alternative, but one that costs alot also,is a dons best subscription, but you need to be standing by when the syndicate plays are released.final note-there is a reson why bet on sports doesn,t like steam/syndicate players.Comment -

While I don't necessarily agree with the rest of the post this point makes no sense to me at all... If his picks are good (ie show long term profit) then the amount you bet is irrelevant and you should bet the most you can afford without icreasing your risk of ruin percentage to an unacceptable level... If they are bad (ie long term losers) you should bet as little as possible... better yet nothing at all...Comment -

#10the free plays offered are theoretically not as strong as pay picks.also, some games merit 2 units as opposed to 1 unit, say the base unit is $500.when one purchases a service the only cost effective way to play is to bet larger amounts and only strong plays are theoretically given.granted, this pay handicapping is all about scammers, but to answer the thread i offered jimmy vacarro as a service that has won me HUGE SUMS THE PAST 4 FOOTBALL SEASON.if you have some friends that are interested you can split the cost of the service.about dave cokin, baseball is his thing, and its interesting to read his reasoning.lets see how he does,so far he is up modestly,as is bucsfanComment -

#11also regarding steam, most shops know, especially smaller ones like bookmaker, that when i call in at 10am on saturday and bet $1000 on 3 games, that these are syndicate plays and they immediately change the line, especially if my bets have been winningComment
