Kelly Kulick (a female) has qualified for the Men's Pro Bowler's Association tour.
While hordes of national media followed Michelle Wie's attempt to qualify for the men's U.S. Open of golf, Kulick quietly finished 6th in a qualifying tournament to become the first woman in modern history to earn a full season exemption to play in a men's pro league.
Apparently she was just coming into her own on the women's tour - and had won the 2003 U.S. Open - when the Tour folded. But she loved her bowling so she turned her attention to the only other option, the PBA. It took a couple years and a couple failures but she finally earned her spot.
Good job.
