i am a small biz owner

your money is worth half of what it was 8 years ago, you can get tax breaks all you want, there is quite a bit more to life and our country than just that money

i saw charlie wilson's war, we provided them with weapons...the soviets pulled out hundreds of thousands of troops to clean up chernobyl, or try anyway, and they effectivly ended that war

was it Clinton, who started the whole subprime lending mess? Great idea to start lending money to folks that cant afford a house in the first place.

I am right in the middle of this mess. My business relys on new housing. The new housing market has gone to shit b/c of subprime lending. Yea it was great for the last 10 yrs with more work than we could do but we are now at the result of that.
Do you think either of the candidates is going to get in office and wave a magic wand to fix the mess? it aint gona happen.

I can't believe some of Obama's remarks. He sneaks his tax increase in there, "we shouldn't just talk about cutting spending, we should look at increasing revenue." In short, he is raising taxes. Then he goes on to say that he is not raising taxes of the nice poor people who are just trying to make ends meat, he is just raising taxes of the evil corporations, and the people who have so much money they don't know what to do with it. The guy is unbelievably bad on economic issues.

so take another 30% out of your yearly earnings to pay for more welfare/medicare to deginerates that have no desire to work cause the gov't will give them a check every month regardless . I dont have health insurance and not depending on the gov't to pay for my bills either. I have enough self respect to get out and earn money.

lets give every illegal immigrant healthcare and pay their bills every month to while we're at it.

McCain is the old guy with the white hair, correct? If so, I guess we just disagree here. Obama is all style and little substance, McCain isn't perfect but has a record to back his talk up.

Yep, taking money from productive in the society and giving to the less/un-productive is not good economic policy. Sometimes, I do believe it is necessary, but in the case of Health Care, no.
