It's true everywhere. Not enough resources to take more than about 8% to trial.

This ^^ is what a stoner sounds like.

And DJ, at the very least, your tie was totally fine in length. It hit right at your belt buckle, which is where it should. Anything much longer and you look like a sloppy idiot that doesn't know how to properly dress. Well done, pal.

The system is so well-oiled that pleas just happen... The prosecution goes hard to the throat with whatever they have evidence on but then offers up a nice package that the defense would be stupid to pass up. They bargain a bit. Plea is made.

If there is no plea, it goes to court. So yes, some stubborn people clog up the system and cost resources when they would have been better off plea bargaining but that is their prerogative.

It's funny, you can get A LOT of leeway in court if you attempt to plea at the earliest possible date. It's actually like a golden token.

What I ultimately realized though is that the courthouse is full of three types of people:
                                - disenfranchised (natives, blacks, asians, etc.)
                                - mentally disabled
                                - over the hill women who drink and drive

I have a few... I just don't like them sometimes. I find it looks kinda stylish/messy/rugged/cool when your tie isn't perfect.

                                      You missed the earlier threads?!

I recorded the voicemail that the detective left on my phone when he was trying to look for me in BC... people didn't think it was real because the guy threatened me.
