I tend to think the only 3 candidates would be the Masters, the U.S. Open and the British Open but maybe I will be surprised.
I am going to say the U.S. Open (which is coming up the weekend after next).
I like all the majors. I find them compelling because it is so obvious how much pressure these guys feel. Sometimes, you can literally see them shaking over their putts late on a Sunday. Watching who will rise and who will crumble is interesting to me.
But I like the British Open less because of the unfairness of some of the courses. I want the person making the best shots to win and, too often on British Open courses, the results of good shots are arbitrary and really just luck.
The Masters is maybe a little too pretty for me.
Like most people, the PGA is the least important major for me.
So I'll say the U.S. Open.
