DoS attacks

People who believe in jinxes are probably going to be mad at me for posting this but, remember when Denial of Service attacks were an almost daily concern?

I haven't heard of one at a prominent book in ages. Did someone invent a permanent cure? Are these attacks still happening at lesser known books and I'm just not hearing about them?

I think some guys got busted and some books got real techy and fixed it and have more barriers
