Really 30%? not 3 for 10 either.
20 for 60 on the year.
I'd venture to say that 80% of jv girls in high school can hit 30% on the reg

Gottlieb, that moron on espuken was pretty close to that in college. remember that every time you hear him spout off on college hoops. Conference teams in big 12 would not guard him. In the last 3 minutes of any close game--Eddie sutton would pull him because the other team would begin to chase him all over the floor. Looked like a kids game of tag!!

Shoots 70% in practice games and 30% in real games.
Totally in his head.
Needs a shrink.

U of Memphis was 0 for 9 in the 2nd half of a loss to SMU where they blew a 14 point lead...got me and some friends to talking about it. I sincerely believe and would wager at even money that I could hit 1 for 9 from A) anywhere on the half court side of the line. B) Backwards over the head from the free throw line. C) Blindfolded from the free throw line ( I was a good high school shooter). D) Standing at the free throw line and bouncing the ball off the floor into the hoop.

it's not that easy when you're playing in front of 30,000 screaming fans.

Always amazed how college and professional athletes don't have free throws down to a science. Especially the pros... you would think that even shaq after so many years of shooting free throws by the hundreds every week would be able to shoot 75 to 80 percent at this point in his career. He still flirts with 50% after 20+ years of college and pro hoops.

Anyone remember that guy from Syracuse a year or 2 ago? He had a streak of 25+ straight FT misses or something like that. Was shooting something like 35% from the line and over 70% FGs. First time I've ever seen someone have a FG% more than double their FT%

Agreed. I really don't buy the "small ball, huge hands" argument.

not really a shrink just better conditioning probably.
im somewhat similar. could shoot 75-85% in practice but game shot 55-65% due to being tired and probably also you can't get in a rythymn like you can if your just sitting around shooting FTs

also hes prob closer to 50% and just on a bad run. 60 fts is not a large sample

unreal, is that the worst this year in ncaab with someone taking relatively same number of free throws?
