We call this a cyclone or dirt devil in Iowa...............not nearly as dangerous as a F2+ TORNADO

Tornadoes freakin scare me. I guess growing up in tornado alley and seeing all the destruction they cause. Having to jump into the bathroom and throw a mattress on top of us when we were kids. Since I moved to Costa Rica, ticos are so terrified of earthquakes. They run out of whatever building they're in as soon as the tremors start, yet earthquakes don't bother me at all. But a tornado? Holy fukk.

When I was 5, a tornado tore down our fence and uprooted a tree in our backyard. The house was left untouched. Since then I have had occasional nightmares about thunderstorms. On a side note, I was also stuck by lightning when I was 20. (sometimes this is incorporated into dreams as well) Needless to say, I have a debilitating fear of being outside during a storm.
