    Can Michelle Wie Qualify For The Men’s U.S. Open?
    Here is a little something on Michelle Wie. BetCris has odds up for Michelle Wie making or not making the Men's US Open.

    Can Michelle Wie Qualify For The Men’s U.S. Open?

    The now 16 year old, Michelle Wie, has been playing golf against men since the age of 12. However, what she is trying to attempt next has never been done before by a female golfer; qualify for the men’s U.S. Open.

    She took a huge step earlier this week in winning her local qualifier by shooting an even par 72. Wie and two other players advanced to sectional play next month, with Wie saying she will play in the June 5th, 36-hole sectional at Canoe Brook in Summit, N.J.

    Can she do the impossible? BetCRIS Sportsbook posted odds on Michelle Wie qualifying for the 2006 men’s U.S. Open.
    Will Michelle Wie qualify for the men’s U.S. Open?

    * Yes / 9 to 1
    * No / 14 to 1

    “It is only a matter of time before Michelle Wie not only qualifies for a men’s major but also wins a men’s tournament,” said BetCRIS CEO, Mickey Richardson. “She’s only 16 and can drive the ball as far as Tiger Woods. Like I said, it’s only a matter of time.”

        Obviously plenty of people like her chances since the odds are down to +675 from +900 to do it.

        I like how the article has the "NO" odds reversed. I'd love to bet No at 14-1.

          If the girls want to play with the guys, fine with me. We can do that in all sports elimating the WNBA, girls golf, girls tennis, and girls kickball.

          Just have one league, if the girls are good enough and talented enough, they can play in that league full time, if they are not they can't be "pro athletes". The girl is not that good compared to guys but she is in a no-lose situation.

          If they are as good as they tell people they are and what to be treated like real people, stop laying against girls and make it all one league in the sport. We will see then what girls are really as good as the guys.

          Thats right, none of them. No girl would be considered a "professional athlete"

          Can you imagine the 65th woman in the world going against Roger Federer in tennis.

          How bout a 6'6" center in the WNBA going against garnet or Shaq. There would be no girls in sports and thats the way it should be.

          If they are truly good enough and many like to think they are, consolidate all leagues and have them play.
