Simply put OP finds one game where proline odds are better than offshore book odds. He bets that game at a +3.5%(ex) clip. But with proline you have to parlay a minimum of 3 games. The other 2 games he bets both sides. Average odds at proline are 1.7 (Pinnacle average odds are 1.95). The 3.5% edge is drastically erased by the garbage odds in the other 2 games. Losses ensue.

today get on the pointspread.... VT on the point spread is +15.5 and minnesosta is +12.5 easy pickings!!! better hurry before they change it cuz of industry odds has changed. Currently the lines are +8.5 for VT, and +5.5 minnesota both at 5dimes.

Only reason why Proline odds are horrible, aside from OLG raking it in, is that yOu get cash in hand. Versus any site which you have an account and you can easily not cash out and keep playing with your winnings until you lose it all.

I have 99% of my slips dating back to early '08. I'm up 19k lifetime in Proline. If you don't believe it then I feel bad for you, because I'm one of many who has taken advantage of shitty Proline. If any of you think this is a bad start, you're horribly wrong.

I know how to grind, maybe you guys should try it out? Winning isn't accomplished overnight.

dj...hang in there...

over the last few years...first at covers, then at sbr when u had those great 1.6k to 5k, then 5k to 10k runs (i caught a good bit of the always-bumpy yet always ultimately-up rides) ...i remember u mentioning proline a few times as an important component in how you quantified your %-edge over the odds available at pinny online...

i didn't know that you actually thought playing proline directly was superior to pinny's low-juice but razor-sharp prices...

i get the idea now tho'...even tho the juice is very-high, the prices are very "stale"...and this leads to some standout bargains...the key is to be selective and patient...and have a stomach for the inevitable dips u have to wait out before the payoffs (and vs. straight bets the volatility is, of course, greatly magnified by its "all parlay" nature)...

so, opportunity to find +eV gems in there, yes, but requiring a strong stomach as well as strong confidence in your edge-finding ability...

Anyhow, would like to see you put up another orthodox (online-book based) thread...here or at covers, again...

Good to see you fitguy.... As always, doing anything to find +EV opportunities and maximize growth. Great post; it's nice to see someone with a decent head on their shoulders. To a lot of these guys, winning is everything. To me, winning is neither here nor there because I have zero control over it. All I can do is make the smart wager and move on.

At the moment, the daily grind just isn't in my books. I'll definitely start up another journal when I have the time to do it successfully. Maybe we'll make it to that 100k?

I used my student loan money to bet proline when it 1st came out & I thought I was gonna be a millionaire in a month.

You know I don't make picks in here right? They're all +EV so whether I 'pick' them to win the game or not has no bearing. But no, no picks yesterday or today. Been killing it offshore though; I find the games have been very easy straight up as well as in-game.

dj, a few practical "rubber meets road" questions...i've just got back to Canada (Ontario) after being away for many years...

* is "prolineplayer.com" your key edge-finding tool?...i can see how waiting for the days on which there are at least three +ev items and acting systematically on each and every one of those days would be an excellent +ev/patience-rewarding protocol...BUT i'd gather that days with at least three prolineplayer-highlighted items would be fairly spaced out...are there other tangible sources that help you piece together a +ev card

**from the OLG site it seems that on any card you play (from 3 to 6 picks)...ALL selections must win...I know your method is based on setting up a card-matrix in such a way that one losing item still works out quite profitably (eg. your last "6 of 7" card)...could you break down exactly how one buys that set of cards in a "ForDummies" kind of way, as part of my return to Ontario adult education

Prolineplayer.com is one of the main edge-finders, yes. But if you want to get serious, then I suggest you subscribe to the website for early releases, more updates, next-day edges, etc. I also compare Proline to books other than Pinny as well if I'm planning to go heavy. Patience is definitely a virtue in this as losing streaks far outnumber the winning streaks; but you can still be profitable. I use my own capping to supplement edge play. I never take anything that's more than -5% though, EVER.

Go to bigtip.org, click 'Agree', click on 'Tools' on the left side, click on 'Online Rotators' -- there you'll have a sample of the most frequently used rotations. Just dick around and figure them out; they're all pretty straight forward.
