Longtime lurker but first time poster. My inspiration to register and post has to do with how much Hollywood has changed since this buy out...combination or whatever the hell they did witht this other company.
Im am about to get on a plane yesterday when I call up to make a bet on the whitesox. I tell them my username and password and my first name. The clerk asked for my last name like they always do now. I prefer not to say over a cell phone and tell him what letter it starts and ends with and proceed to tell him how much I want to put on the sox. The guy wont budge on the issue and I go round and round about it. What possible security feature does saying my last name add? Especialy when those guys cant even pronounce my name correctly. Do they do this just to have your name on tape in case you try to say..hey I didnt make that bet it was somebody else calling up that had my name/password pretending to be me? I would have normaly just hung up and callled Betcris but I didnt have the number on me. They also repeat some 10 digit number to you on the readback after each bet you make. When you are making 5 or 6 bets at a time this is frustrating. Overall I would say there phone bet taking method is very subpar compared to every other book I have ever used.
The other thing is that I made a withdrwal request last thursday via neteller. I didnt receive any email giving me a status update so I call to check on it monday. They tell me that I cant be paid neteller since I didnt deposit with that method. Im like...um Neteller is the only way I have ever put money into hollywood. She says they have no reccord and it was sent out already via check and will take 7 to 10 days. Does it really take a whole week or more to get a check mailed from there to here?
