We already reported BoS and Royal are close. What else is going on?

Sorry but I can't tell you

    Ok, just a little.

I think VIP could be a candidate. Sportingbet would be the buyer.

First Fidelity is one we think could be in play. CRIS or VIP could be the buyer.

SportsInteraction is one that could fall to BetOnSports or even VIP although VIP has walked away from this deal once already.

TheGreek - Its a longshot but a CRIS or even Grande could make a run at this A+ prize.

How about the longest of all long shots??? Pinnacle buys 5Dimes.(before my phone rings this one is just one I cooked up, there is no truth to it in fact I dont think these guys much like each other. However, the owner of 5Dimes would fit in great in Pinnacle and there is NO denying that).

I'd hate to SIA disappear. That's what really happens, the book is gone, that would be fine in the case of Royal.

Sadly but seems that sportsbetting is one of those rare industries where you don't have to necessarily offer good product to be successful and the opposite - you can offer product of relatively atrocious quality, poor customer service and even fraudulent tactics but still lead the market (think BetAndWin)...

Overall this trend is terrible news for sportsbettors....
Indeed where will sportsbetting be in 5 years? 4 sportsbook families and 50 exchages?

          Pinny?

If Pinny goes I think you could count the buyers on 2 fingers: BetFair or Mansion. Obviously there will need to be some easing on the legal front to see a Pinny deal heat up.

The only ones that are off the table are Sportingbet and BetOnSports. Pinny IS a deal that will happen eventually imo.

If that ever happens it would truly be a dark day in the industry.

How often are "unique" books taken over and left to run pretty much as they had done in the past?

I would have though that Pinnacle certainly has a very niche clientele so it would be pretty much a waste of time/money for World Gaming to take them over and turn them into another Sportingbet clone. But, in reality, how often are books essentially left alone after a takeover?

I never thought Hollywood would get bought out...but times are slow and if you don't have deep pockets, it can happen to you...

sportingbet didn't buy hollywood. the fact that so many ratings sites are reporting that they did shows how little they really know as to whats going on behind the scenes.

hollywood sought out sportingbet for help and is operating as a licensee like allstar.com or sportsfanatik.com.

Surprised that VIP could be bought, dont they buy lower bookies themselves? Btw they are another book that is only A+ at customer service, the page and lines are...lets say average.
First Fidelity would be great if they are bought, they are 1 of those bookies that seem to offer a lot, and send you through hassles if you bite. C class imo

expect these mid sized books to be bought or move under the big guys in licensee agreements at some time. it's the cheapest way for books to expand right now and owners want to cash out while the cashing out is good.
