if you had to choose 4 players to put on mount rushmore who would they be.

    my 4 players would be:

    Michael Jordan
    Joe Montana
    Wayne Gretzsky
    Babe Ruth

Babe Ruth never happened. try again, but this time, with a truly great player like a umm, I don't know, Peyton Manning, who in his own right is better than 80's Joe montanna.

And hockey's not a sport, so wayne's gone. Might as well put Jeff Gordon up there.

Jordan; good pick. But 12 years from now, Lebron has a relaistic chance of being named the best ever. As after the Detroit and san Antonio team get a little older and shaq retires, lebron will be right there in the winners circle in June if the Cavs. owner even has a tenth of the sense I do.

Pesonally, i'd go (right now) with Jordan, Peyton Manning, and The Great One.

The 4th will be determined later.
I can't think of anyone right now that would fit in our category, but please do not mention players from yesteryear.

When Peyton Manning wins a few super bowls, then he might be a consideration for me. til then i can't put him in Montana's class.

If I had my choice, I'd go:

        Michael Jordan
        Willie Mays
        Joe Louis
        Anna Kournikova

I hate to agree with you Dan but I think you've got it exactly right. Those are the guys.

No, he is not. he is wrong. Peyton Manning is the greatest quarterback to ever play the game. Football is different than basketball. One player or even 4 players can't w9in it by themselves in football. hell, if it wasn't for Vinatieri, Brady wouldn't even be considered an upper eschalant quarterback.

and RM, Jim Brown SUCKS. racist homeboy. I'd love to knockthat hat off his head and yes, I'd do it and yes, I'd whip his fat 50 year old ass. This just figures. He gets a free pass for what he says, but I get called a racist for saying what I say about the black quarterback even though everything I say is backed up by FACT. They miss a full season due to injury, their career is virtually over at 30, and they're passing "doesn't come around". Vick has exactly two-- 300 yard passing games. FACT

Not to mention, if Brown was today in his prime, he would be just like that fatty Larry Szonka. A 6th round pick used only on special teams and as an occasional blocking back.

Now that's an intriguing line-up. I like it. But I'm standing by my man Dan.

I'm not sure how Gretzky's beak will look carved into the side of a mountain but I'm standing by it.

If we could add a fifth, I'd pick Secretariat. Then on the back side of the mountain, Barry Bonds could be coming out of Secretariat's rear

Good choices BBD. Alot of people forget that Montana actually won his 1st ring w/o Rice as he hadnt made it to the NFL than.

Manning is a great QB but he has not achieved the ultimate goal in team sports which is to win the whole enchilada. If you are looking to put him in just on his stats and TD record and passing yards than you gotta throw in Marino as well.

Yeah, if the mountain was carved in 1673.

A girl, a drunk, a guy thats only famous because he's black, and a tall guy that only played against short ones of the time. LOL. Yeah, what a list.

My list is by far the best. Sure, add marino as the 4th. he's better than all those people too. Most of you don't understand the difference in the team aspect of basketball and football.
