Race walking is my least favorite. I was actually surprised that it was something that one could medal in.

Table tennis is a sport of spin and speed. As a matter of fact, IT IS the fastest sport in the world. Sure, the rallies are not as long as other sports that's because of the furious spin (topspin, underspin, sidespin) and speed that is imparted on the ball. That is why players sometimes return balls into the net or long or wide. It is hard to read the spin that is imparted on a ball during a serve. But when the counter spinning/looping or smashing begins, it is one of the most awesome sports! Too bad there are no world-class American players that is why it is not that popular here in the US. But in Europe and Asia, entire pages are dedicated to yesterday's results.

Try watching the best players (players from Germany, Sweden, France, China, Japan, Korea, etc.) and you'll understand why. So far American TV has not shown these types of players. When they do you'll understand why.

Way too many sports in the Olympics. Need to cut the amount way down. Here's what they should definitely cut:

All equestrian events. The Olympics are HUMAN competition, not horse competition. Why this is even in the Olympics is mind boggling. If your going to have this, at least have Thoroughbred races. (wouldn't mind that at all actually)

Speed walking. (If this is still an event, not sure) Dumbest thing I ever saw.

Trampoline. Kids play this. This ain't a sport, this is jumping around like a fool.

All the shooting and archery events. Shooting a gun isn't a sport, unless your hunting wild game. Same with archery, hitting a bullseye is no tall feat.

Synchronized swimming. Nothing can be more boring than this. Another one that should be scrapped.

Sailing. Can't believe they have this as an Olympic sport either. Sailing is a pastime, they have huge races for this somewhere in the world. Sailing on a boat isn't a sport.

Ping Pong (er... Table Tennis) Might take some flak here, but I don't think this should be a sport. Sure, it takes good hand-eye co-ordination, but that's about it. To me, ping pong is in the same league as air hockey and fussball. Not a sport.

I think that about covers it for me. A sport IMHO is an event in which you break a sweat in.

they should combine all the swimming events and have one champion.

wouldn't call golf a sport. I know its not easy, doesn't make it a sport.---of course its not in the olympics.

ping pong is good. But too many over the net sports,-- tennis, badminton, volleyball, beach volleyball

Too many commercials and family stories. Thats what really sucks.

at Peyton Manning trying to get NFL into the olympics...

Any competition that's decided by corrupt judges also needs to be scrapped

Add tae kwon do the list. Watched it for the first time and maybe it was a bad match, but it was terrible. Fighters standing for most of the round because it seems they just want to counterattack. Points scored are not acknowledged - judging sucks. No punches just kicking - apparently because punches rarely score. Only reason it got in was for Seoul 88 olympics and it's Korea's national sport. Time to go.

No way man! It can get boring at times, I agree as they just stand around some times, but you should see some of the KO's in this sport.

First of all, no sport should be out just cuz someone doesn't like it. Post relevant, objective reasons for kicking them out. So, with that said, here's my list:

Equestrians should be out - they caught 4 horses on steroids last week. How cruel is that?

Swimming in all the slower styles - no other sport is allowed to do that, award 8-10 medals for what should be 2 or 3. Simply unfair.

Amateur boxing - that shit is just wrong. They never learn to punch until they go pro, and many of the talented kids just get wasted because they are taught to throw a lot of weak ass scoring punches and it becomes second nature. Plus, the judges and the federation are so corrupt it makes me puke.

Modern Pentathlon - it was modern in 1896.

I saw the worst olympic sport on the planet today. The ladies were all dressed up in this colorful ballet like outfits with sequins and sparkly things covering the outfits. Their faces were also decked out with so much makeup they look like clowns. They carried this baton thingie with colorful streamers coming out of it that were about 20 feet long. They danced with this damn baton thing around a large mat while throwing it continually up in the air and catching it. This was like watching a high school football game on crack. The whole thing was so stupid I just sat there in awe of its sheer absurdity.

Equestrian horse walking competition needs to go by far. Unbelievable how this is an olympic sport.

BMX track should not be included in Olympics. The Olympics should be kept more traditional. Pretty soon we'll have skateboarding, motorcross, rollerblading, bowling, etc.

Trampoline, Speedwalking, Taekwondo should go as well.

i am amazed at the number of sports mentioned. are these actually olympic events? every time i turn on the t.v. i see someone diving into a pool. personally , i don't believe any activity is a "sport" unless you have an opponent actively attempting to stop or change what you are doing. therefore, you can cancel most of those water skill test activities while keeping the water polo. bridge and poker are more sporting than watching somebody jump into a pool!
