    Brandon Roy to retire
Portland Trail Blazers All-Star guard Brandon Roy has told the team that he is retiring because of ongoing difficulty with his knees.

Wow. This is a shame. He was such a good player.

Sad story. Guy was my favorite player. Watched him every game since he was a rookie. I wanted him to play, but he owes Portland nothing. He put this city on his back, and brought us back to relevancy. He needs to take care of himself.

Best closer Ive ever seen. Heart of a Champion. True leader, Role model and my hero. Portland should retire his jersey.

                      Tough decision??

Make room for someone who can
                      play more than half-a-season.

Emily life will be okay I promise! Your minimum wage job is okay for now, but BJ's for $10 would be more profitable you should check it out! I also heard posting on Craigslist is a good idea!

Never really seen a player like this before.

He was one of the slowest 2 guards I've ever seen but his first step was so deceptive.

He can easily still play 25 mpg and be effective.

I think he doesn't want to ruin his career averages.
