Norv is a great offensive coordinator and I'd hire him. But I agree and have said it in the eagles thread, teams take on the personality of their coach. Just look at the ferocious 49ers and the crumbling Chargers.

High Flier is spot on. Norv is suited as an offensive coordinator. Just like how Wade Phillips sucks as a head coach but is decent as a defensive coord.

Their line play sucks. Rivers has ZERO time to get that vertical passing game going. Their D-line doesn't get any pressure and the opposing QB has all the time in the world.

AJ is the problem in SD. He plays hardball in contract negoations and he has a horrible history with evulating talent.

diehard Chargers fan here and I couldn't agree more..we are constantly unprepared, unmotivated and beating ourselves. The last few years our GM has whiffed on many draft picks and the talent level is not close to what we had a few years ago. Offensive line is made up of mostly undrafted free agents and late round picks and it shows. I want Norv and AJ Smith fired and start fresh with a coach that is a disciplinarian/attention to detail guy and the GM who drafts Oline/Dline and builds from there. I'm so fukkin fed up with this team, very hard to watch games nowadays..fukkin clowns

Ive been wanting Bill Cowher the last few years. If Dean Spanos would open up the wallet and hire him and make him the GM / head coach, he would would bring a discpline the Bolts so badly need.

It all goes back to Jimmy Johnson. Some people thought that he was a great NFL coach because he won the Super Bowl with Dallas. I give him credit for putting the team together by raping Minnesotta in the Hershel Walker trade, but he was no great coach. Barry Switzer also won a Super Bowl with that Dallas team. Then some idiots thought that Jimmy's disciples must also be good so they were hired as NFL head coaches. How did that work out for Wannstedt? How did that work out for Butch Davis? How is that working out for Turner? He should have been fired years ago like the rest of them.

His years with the Redskins weren't good either..His entire history as a head coach sucks! He is a very good offensive coordinator, not a head coach. AJ Smith wanted a puppet that he could control..It blew up in his face like most Chargers fans predicted and now they both need to go! I doubt any Charger fan was excited when Turner was hired. Everyone I know was pissed. Not that I know it all, but any fool could see that Norv's hire was a poor choice.

This coupled with the fact that AJ Smith has drafted like shit the past 5+ years and we have the current situation. Hopefully the Spanos sack up and fire both of these clowns..good riddance
