    Friendly reminder re MLB betting
Just remember that not all books default to LISTED PITCHERS when you are placing your bets. Some default to ACTION.

Examples of books where you have to remember to take extra steps if you want LISTED PITCHERS are

    CRIS
    DSI
    Bet Trojan
    ActionBets
    Betmaker

That's not intended to be anything like a complete list.

It's an area that I have messed up in the past and maybe I'm not the only one.

I was just reminded that not everyone is an experienced bettor and some may not know exactly what I am talking about.

When you bet LISTED PITCHERS on a baseball game then both of those specified pitchers have to start or else your bet is cancelled.

When you bet ACTION, then everything stays exactly the same if the listed pitchers start. The difference occurs when there is a pitching change prior to the game. Your bet will not simply be cancelled. The money-line will be re-adjusted and ACTION wagers will be graded using the opening price for the new pitcher.

Pitching changes are the exception rather than the rule but, believe me, they occur often enough that it is important to be on top of this.

This rule applies to moneyline betting only. With runlines and totals, bets are automatically defaulted to LISTED PITCHERS.

I hope everyone realizes that from a pure value standpoint there's never any benefit to placing an ACTION bet.

It's a nice book. Reduced juice. Good bonuses. Very good customer service and payouts.

They may not be the friendiest book in the world towards pros. Some players, myself included, have had limits cut. The jury is still out on that issue. From what I am hearing, they may be getting better on that.

          But overall, nice book.

Las Palmas is another that defaults to ACTION.
