Two For the Money: A+ Gambling flick
Yes I know the movie is 2-3 years old. I saw it when it first came out, but I had a "craving" for it last night so I went and rented it. For anybody who has not seen it and loves sports betting, this is your movie. Shows the ups and downs and how quickly it can shift when you are on top of the sports betting world.

I had a totally different take, I thought the movie was unrealistic, cheesy, and just outright bad. It also tries to glamorize a scumbag, err tout named Brandon Lang.

Terrible movie IMO, was really let down. People who know anything about the industry can see just how full of crap this movie is. I mean, the story-arc is alright in that it teaches some lessons about the fall you can take, but they get the small things wrong all the way through.

Not only is it a terrible movie (McConaughey sucks), I didn't believe a minute of the story as being anything remotely close to the actual events of douchebag Brandon's life. Seemed like a complete fabrication on every level. The only positive is Pacino, and even he's not at his best in this film.

Agreed, Pacino's performance was forgettable. Just didn't really feel right, I mean he acted alright but I just didn't really appreciate it as one of his better roles.

WAS A GREAT MOVIE , OFF THE CHAIN LOVED IT !
they did a great job in picking the cast as well .
the part near the end where the wife is telling al pacino that life is all about them as a family always moves me everytime i see it . that all that matters is for them to build a beautiful life together and everything else comes second is purely electric and what everyone could only hope for .
unless you are the devil or something .

was long overdue for a movie like that

                              A+ C R A P is right.

One of the worst movies ever made. Why such a great actor like AP would take this stinky role is beyond me. Maybe he needed the money? And what's with the amateurish football scenes? Less realistic than a Nintendo 64 football game!

The only thing that this movie accomplished was turn a shitty tout in to a household name and help him sell his awful picks.

Two For the Money is to us, in this forum,
as Talladega Nights is to NASCAR fans.
Both movies piss off the realists in each of their categories, but has some entertainment value to it.
Personally, I watched Talladega Nights, I wanted to watch NASCAR, because I never did, in the past. Most NASCAR fans, I talked to, disliked it.
Two For the Money, has a lot of people identifying with me. Because out of the people that know me, they know I gamble sports, and that movie helped them identifiy with what I like to do.
