Nascar/Fox in Trouble due to Language
I just read that the "Family Policy Network" has filed a complaint with the FCC regarding that slip-up during Sunday's race with Martin Truex's crew chief swearing. What's everyone's opinion about this?

I personally think they are making a big deal out of it. Kids hear these words every day at school or wherever, you can't hide your children from everyday life.

NASCAR is the national pastime for my people (PWT). if them kids ain't heard worse at the playground of the trailer park they live in, or when they spill their momma's boyfriend's beer while takin' it to his La-Z-Boy, then where better to upgrade yer vocabulary than watching REAL athletes in the frenzy of competition?

I remember after the Astros won the wildcard on the last day of the 2005 regular season, Brad Lidge was being interviewed on the field by the FSN reporter and Lidge dropped the f-bomb that made it across the airwaves. He immediately caught himself and said, "Pardon my French." A couple of days later Lidge apologized again and said hs parents phoned him immediately and chastised him for the bad language. The joke going around the Astros team was that Lidge's mom & dad had grounded him.

Bad language really doesn't bother me, but at the same time I'm none too impressed by someone who can't mind their tongue in certain situations. Pit crews or athletes cursing in the heat of the moment is no big deal to me. Just that I have to watch myself since I'm around kids at the Little League fields so often.
