Not sure if this is appropriate for the forum but is anyone here going to the RX vegas bash in August? Anyone ever been before?
I'm considering going.

presley177,
I lived in Vegas for one year while getting my Masters at UNLV. Lived less than a mile from the strip. Great times out there and any Vegas Bash is worth a trip out there. Been to many parties out there, New Years, Grand Openings. Never been to RX though. In case you need some pointers, here are a few quick ones.
Cheap rooms at Tropicana right next to MGM, NYNY, Excalibur, Luxor, Mandalay Bay. Nice rooms at Bellagio, Venetian if money is no issue. Cheapest gaming on the strip, Slots-O-Fun in front of Circus Circus. Key Largo has $1.99 Burger and Fries meal (very nice value). Best Buffet is at Monte Carlo. Best Sportsbook in my opinion is Ceasars Palace but walk around in the morning for the best prices. Get to the books early to get a personal TV at your table, nice for those with poor sight like myself. Avoid the airport slots and if you get a chance to check out the new Winn hotel, let us know how it is. Good luck and have fun.

thanks for the reply, the RX is actually another betting site/forum that is holding their annual "bash" at the Imperial Palace. The RX is supposedly paying for 2 nights of rooms.
I went to Vegas last year for my sister's wedding(at the Paris Hotel) and I stayed there for 4 nights...amazing place. The sportsbook at the Paris is also very nice...although i've heard MGM and a few other books have better odds/juice ..but I cleaned up on baseball(and they also didn't check my id either..being only 20 : ) )
I can't wait to go back...unfortunately the wynn had some more work being done so alas..didn't get to see it but I was very impressed all of the casinos. Maybe I'll stay an additional 2 nights at the Venetian depending on what I can swing. Thanks for the info though. : ) any and all tips are welcome!
