First off, best in history is just exaggerating way too far.

Second, I have no doubt Kobe would beat Lebron in a shooting contest in practice, but on the floor Lebron has dramatically improved his outside shot and now shoots a higher percentage than Kobe.

Ok wise one.....First things first.....You claimed LeBron had a better post game than Kobe & Carmelo?? LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL. are you fuggin' joking here?? The next time you see LeBron post UP will be the first. He has absolutely ZERO post game whatsoever. LeBron has few weaknesses but post play may be his biggest. Kobe on the other hand post's UP regularly. It's been one of his strengths his entire career. Kobe is as effective @ posting as any guard in the league. LeBron has ZERO back to the basket game.

As far as the 3 point shooting, well......Neither is exactly stellar here. LeBron has nudged Kobe over the last two seasons & in 04-05. Kobe has buried him every other year. Career wise kobe 33.9, LeBron 32.9. three point shooting is arguably equal. NBA 3-point shooting is mostly left for specialist anyhow & neither is a specialist in this department.

Now for the mid range game. It is renowned that Kobe is regarded as one of the best mid range shooters in the history of the league. I challenge you to dig UP LeBron's career shooting % from 15 feet & beyond. You will find a number in the 30-32% range. Do the same for Kobe & report back. LeBron actually shoots a better % from 3 than he does from 15 & beyond.
Furthermore, Kobe relies on tough contested jumpers where LeBron gets the benefit of teams laying off him baiting him to shoot his mid range jumper. For a guy that shoots 50% from the field yet is 2nd in the league in lay-UP'S & dunks what does that tell you about his jump shooting %?? One season does not make a career.

LeBron does a lot of good things but post play & mid range game are possibly his biggest weaknesses. I will admit that leBron's jumper has improved w/ age but if you honestly believe LeBron is a better jump shooter than Kobe then you're kidding yourself. Rose was most certainly the MVP this season! But what some people fail to see is that the MVP does NOT mean you are the best player in the league. And if Rose is overrated, it's because all his fans put him there. They basically put him in the championship, fitted him for a ring, and declared him the Finals MVP. And this was before the season even ended. If it's one thing we have learned from Lebron since 2003, it's to never take credit for something you haven't earned. In Lebron's case it was the title of King, in Rose case it's that he can single-handily take the Bulls to win the championship, sweeping the Heat in the process.. Let him earn it first!!!
