I can see why your scratching your head over queen Nancys chart. Let me try to explain it to you. It is a chart of "Jobs Lost", not unemployment. Eventually companies ran out of jobs to cut. They were scaled back to bare bones at the turn of 2009. So naturally the monthly "jobs lost" numbers will eventually taper off. I will try to locate a unemployment rate chart so that will make it more clear for you.

What you're looking at is the "L-shaped recovery" that economists warned Obama's election would bring, total gamesmanship with numbers. Jobs still being lost and not replaced, though the administration played the Census for all it was worth.

Fact of the matter is this: the markets don't move on government agency reports under Obama, their numbers are too tweaked. So when it's time to put one's money where one's mouth is, there are few buyers of Obama. Stuff like this guarantees no second term.

well, i don't have to speculate. given that the downturn began in Q3 2008, it's positively nonsense to blame the ultimate product of the downturn on the guy who was elected months after it began, and didn't take office until two quarters later. as i said, i'm no big Obama fan. clearly you hate the guy, but if you want to be taken seriously in any sort of intelligent debate, you have to give your target his fair credit and not assign to him blame in excess of his fair share. or, you can just stay in players talk, where there is zero likelihood of intelligent debate ever occurring.
