Fascist Chicago public schools tells parents they can't brown bag lunch at school!
The crime and tax burden hell hole and home to Obama and the most corrupt political machine for the last 130 years running is telling kids they can't take lunches to school.Don't they have more pressing problems that need immediate attention??????It comes as a shock to me anyway that some parents there are actually buying food for their kids to take to school when the majority of the population qualifies to get free governemnt school lunches.Talk about that, it takes a village, statist and collectivist BS where the government says,we know what's best for you and it's all that we,us and ours collectivist talk they phrase the whole situation in. Our children need guidance and direction. It's like saying JJ Gold is ours to nurture, love and care for.WTF!!!

Someone should tell the school board, academic elitists and faculty there to go on a hot dogs with veins and bearded clam diet they each get from multiple sources.

This attitude that is becoming prevalent in USA society is destroying from within. People have to stand up and say "i am mad as hell and i am not gonna take it anymore". The left and in some cases the right have promoted the nanny state for so long that people aren't even smart enuff to think for themselves. Can you say "Eloi"?

worst public schools in america for decades

most of the public schools, never have kids bring "brown bag" lunches.

I can count on my hand in the last 3 years how many schools i've been in that I saw kids with brown bag lunches.

the kids bring in like 4 little bags of 25cent hot chips or doritos from the corner store. instead of eating their free lunch. which would be fine.

but the kids that don't even have the $1 to buy the chips before school at the corner store, or don't steal them. they end up starting riots in the lunch rooms by begging and fighting over "getting some" chips from the kids.

don't get me started on the "breakfast in the classroom" iniative

Don't worry as soon as we get a Democrat in power in Chicago, Harvard and Yale will be plucking the brightest minds out of that city's public school system....oh wait

That doesn't make sense. Qualifying free lunch kids won't pack lunches. Unqualified kids will pack
or buy their lunches. Unless the free lunch is not enough and the kids are supplementing.

Either way, the governing body needs to shut the fck up.

Just adds the lunacy to the 'beginning of the year' mandatory list parents have to buy in most public schools around here.....adds up to easily over $140 and up for stuff never used but required by the schools....crazy. If my kid was in public schools and they sent me that list I'd sent it back with an attachment to 'bill this to the state Dept of Revenue' since they have my taxes and that's what is meant to cover this crap.
Amazing how our private schools operate on far less revenue and yet still maintain better facilities and better academics overall....because they know they need to allocate properly and not just let things fall apart in order to request more money that they then funnel to other areas and repeat.

you should at least try to appear unbiased and under control when you're trying to prove a political point, it makes it more likely that people who don't share your viewpoint will listen to you and/or consider your argument. The way you started your post immediately turns me off.

The only way a parent can guarantee their child gets a healthy meal is to pack one themselves. The forced option from the school is generally low-grade, high sodium, processed foods. It can't be helping with the obesity epidemic. Anyone else remember when the class picture in grade school had one or two fat kids out of 30? It wasn't that long ago. Saw my nephew's class picture and I would say that at least a third or more of these kids are fat as hell.

it will never happen. No school can tell any parent this.

It's because brown bag is a demeaning racist term........with connotations that only the poor (brown) need to bag because they can't afford lunch. A joke, cause they eat better (for free) than anyone else.

Sometimes I think that people throw around words to make themselves seem more intelligent, when they're using a word completely out of context to begin with.
