    Uncle Mo's derby odds
He's running this weekend I think in the Wood Memorial at Aquduct say he wins by 5 lengths (Probally in a short field against a lot weaker competition. What will his Derby odds be?

1.90-1.00 because of the 20 horse field... in the preakness he will be about .70-1.00 if he wins derby... in the belmont against 6 horses he will be .40-1.00 if he is going for the overrated triple crown...

Mo's a nice horse and all, but a lot of people make him out to be the second coming of Secretariat.
        He's not.

These cupcake prep races won't prepare him for the 20-horse Derby stampede.

He's a must bet against in the Derby, as the favorites usually are.

I have some futures with him but I agree with Seattle Slew that the competition hasn't been very good at all though. The plus is that he did win a race in Churchill Downs in the Breeders Cup.

Here's the current line up for the Wood. Uncle Mo no doubt goes off about 3-5.
Derby Day, I'd guess 7-5, if he wins Saturday.

Try to keep in mind that the trainers of already eligible horses, that have a solid chance of winning the derby, have a sole objective at this point and that objective is winning the Ky. Derby.
Don't get me wrong, they would love to win the Wood or any major final prep race along the way but they are pointing to have there respective horses at there absolute peak on the first Saturday in May, NOT the 2nd Saturday in April.
                    Best of Luck everyone.

If he isn't 1-5 against these animals there is something wrong.. and whatever he is in the Derby will be way too short a price

Exactly right 1-5 odds. Depending on the post for the derby. I would say 5/2 is in order.

7/5 sounds right and possibly lower if the chalk in the Santa Anita derby were to flop.

It might be like where Big Brown was at when he got into the derby and he paid $6.60 to win I think. I think that Uncle Mo will be right around that price.

Uncle Mo has been 3-1 in both future pools, but all the goofy money will go on him so I think he's along the lines of 9-5 on Derby day, assuming he wins the Wood.

good luck staying HEALTHY until the derby. That seems harder than the derby itself

4/10/2011 .. you read it here first. UNCLE MO does not get to the starting gate in 2011 Kentucky Derby.

Reason: Johnny V races another fine animal that was "just not right" ...But because of the hype and purse money involved Uncle Mo raced and did not run "his race"...darn near got stampeded over....

This horse is on the downhill side of peaking and needs time off before he "breaks down"

                                    IMO.

Pletcher did kinda sound like he wasn't too sure about running in the derby, Stay Thirsty got crushed and he said were goin to Kentucky, Uncle Mo he said, well well ship him to Kentucky and work him twice and then decide whether or not to run
