Anywhere from a day to 4-5 days depending.

Sometimes it takes years. Like if it starts right after Christmas it may take until January to finish. They play..eat..then go to the hotel and sleep with their spouses..then come back and play.

8 hours for One Day International.
5 days for a Test Match.
4 hours for a 20/20 match (reduced format of ODI)
