I'll admit it, I've lost money in all 5 games betting against VCU

I'm a USC alum and lost money during the "play in" round when SC went up against VCU. That game was so ugly on both sides that I put money on Gtown, Purdue, and then got pissed and kept betting against them with FSU and Kansas. Oh, and yes, I'll be on Butler.

Gotta hand it to the Rams............they have truly "shocked the world" going 5-0 in the tourney.

I hit Butler yesterday, but they cost me the first two rounds. VCU has screwed with my mind..........to the point of me placing a "sweetheart" teaser on Kansas (in addition to my straight bet) down to -3.5 (and we all know sweetheart teasers are sucker bets!).

Like Gold said some of these kids are uncoachable. The disrespect card seems the best way to get em going, so no I did not fade them, except v FSU. I thought a blue collar team would be the neutralizer.

leading into the first weekend of ncaa's and a game or two into it, i was 10-1 over 11 bets.

from that point on, i am now 0-9, with several favorite ml's tossed in. (though i did cash 2-0 on ufc last night, but that makes the number look less horrible, so ignore that)

good bankroll management has kept all of my gambling accounts below average, but certainly not busto. i dunno if i'm excited that i didn't bust for the first time in years, or that I'VE ACTUALLY GONE 0-9 THE LAST NINE BETS.

I am sure you are not alone. Lots of people lost their ass betting against them.

1. Never bet big moneyline favs unless you have a program that gives you accurate EV and you can pick out those favs that really are good deals.

2. When you like a dog, take the spread for 2/3 the unit and the moneyline for 1/3 the unit.

3. My personal rule is to never take any big moneyline or spread fav. This is because I don't have any computer programs so I play it by the book.

I've been convinced a few games ago that VCU is the best team in the tourney. They can go inside and out better than any other team. They are tough as nails, gritty and out hustle everyone they play. They shoot the long ball very well and can hit the mid range. I really haven't seen a weakness. I think they beat Butler and win it all.

NCAA hoops: this time of the year, in tournament play, when you see a team beat the pointspread by 20 pts 2, especially 3 times in a row, jump on them. Not like football based on fumbles, ints, etc, next week, the team goes the other direction.
A pointspread blowout means a LOT more in NCAA hoops this time of the yr.
You HAVE to go with VCU vs Butler, and the next one, too, if they win and cover by a lot vs Butler.

I wish I put $10 bucks on them before tourn started, prob would pay out over $5K if they win it all. I put 5 on George Mason, ILL, and Belmont but not on VCU. I did put $10 on UCONN so have a shot at $350

i did poorly in the begining of the tournament and quit and bet on hockey and NBA and spring training baseball. ncaa tournament seems unpredictalbe and hard to make money at.
