We played this in my office last year and we are doing it this year as well.
The points are based on the teams ranking. If you pick a team that is ranked 12th to win you get 12 points for it if they win. It keeps people off of the favorites because you only get one or two points for them. It is fun and something different. We also play regular brackets as well. We actually have more money in the Team Ranking Bracket than the regular bracket pool.
