So we are going to have some kind of Memorial Handicapping Contest for a guy who lost his tail gambling, and because of this, ended up taking his own life and taking his wife with him. Nice. Real nice. Let's honor a guy who took the cowards way out.

People look at this with different views. Those that were close, worked, talked with him most likely think it is a nice remembrance. They maybe know more of why things happened the way it did and could understand it from point a to z, also knowing it was wrong. Then you have the guys that didn't know him at all or knew about him from the forums and think it is repulsive to even suggest this idea. Nobody is right or wrong. What shouls be done is to take a sliver of each entry fee as an ante and take those points and use them to get the grandchildren a small giftcard from toysrus or wherever, assuming tony aggrees with it. Just a random giftcard given by their mom and dad for them to enjoy, get something, and not have to worry about how this world is. Just my two cents.

I think I'll lock this thread. Ken would absolutely love to have a capping contest named after himself here. But we would not want to chance his family thinking we are insensitive or disrespectful.
