here's what TPowell wrote to me boys when I asked his opinion on games I wanted to mention on a show:
Villanova's lowest total of the 2011 year has been set tommorow at 127.5 in their game against USF in the Big East Tournament. This is a great spot for the over for several reasons. Both teams have struggled defensively in conference play. Both teams have their share of offensive problems but 128 points is a very short number for a conference tournament game. I would expect some late fouling with the line hovering around 10 which is pretty accurate. USF should have to score in a hurry late in this game, which is a benefit for those over backers. Villanova knows it has to turn it around and MSG is the perfect place to do so against a team they've scored 80+ points on already this year. I can see Villanova hanging 75 or 80 again which would leave USF with only around 50-55 points. Both teams should play with reckless abandon in this game which should lead to quick possessions and lots of action.
