    What's Wrong with the Clippers
What is going on with the Los Angeles Clippers as of late? Losers of 7 of their last 10 games, Mike Dunleavy's team appears to have hit some sort of wall this late in the season. At 33-25, a playoff spot looks all but assured, but a chance at the Pacific Division title is now a distant memory with Phonexix winning their last 11 games.

The good news for the Clippers is that on Friday night they got Corey Maggette back into the lineup for the first time since December. That gives them a little under two months to get him into playing shape again, and to figure out what to do with him now that Cuttino Mobley is playing so well. Should be interesting.

    What's wrong with the Clippers?

Elgin Baylor. Another example of putting a ex-player in a real-life business position that they have no clue about based completely on physical tools that have no use in the business world. Him and the biggest dumbass in the world, Isiah Thomas are the best 2 examples. He's the only one that has been there throughout the entire disgrace of the franchise.

I think they will cover the 2.5, plus I am buying 3 on Pinnacle for 5.5 total. I think the game will be close , plus they are at home is another bonus.

However that is as good as it gets for the Clips. With Houston, Utah, Kings, Memphis, New Orleans, and Lakers all creeping up, I think they will falter in the last 20 games.

From following the boxscores I'd say that Sam Cassell is what's wrong with the Clippers rignt now. I haven't heard that he's injured, but his post All-Star break splits tell a story. Check out his Free Throw Attempts and Three Point Shooting Percentage, and note he's getting more minutes post-All-Star.

Yes, Sam has been in a real funk lately and something has to be physically wrong with him.

Sammy's old. On a good day he moves like Fred Sanford.

He wore down in Minny as well on a similar pace -- maybe 15-20 games later than this. But he was two years younger then.

Still, even if he were never to play another quality minute (and he will play many), Jaric for Sammy and a #1? It was the steal of all-time.

Don't the Clippers have to win tonight? It seems to me the oddsmakers are begging for money on the Spurs.

they were begging for it yesterday when they opened tonights game at spurs -3.

in the last meeting these teams played. the clippers should have won that game, but ended up blowing it in OT and lost by 7.

Relatedly, that SA -3.5 last night at HT was strange. (Wonderful, but strange.)

Equally strange was that it rose a little from -105 up to about -123 on the SA side, but then went back down again.

Seems as if there is at least the perception of big LA money out there, and maybe the reality.
