It was a tough week for bookmakers with many of our regular everyday players having a good week. Sunday however wasn’t as good for our players with some results finally going our way. A very surprising result was Arena football. Our customers actually lost this week at Arena football which is a very unusual occurrence considering Arena football has traditionally been a ‘bettor’s paradise’.
NBA was not good for us at all here at www.betcris.com. It was a week for the ‘general’ bettor with lots of our regular players picking winners with ease. One of our regular players continued his winning streak with us and won $150,000 this week and that’s after he won a staggering $250,000 last week! Another couple of weeks like that and I think we may find him retired at one of Costa Rica’s finest beaches at our expense!
College basketball was a lot better to us but that was mainly because of Sunday’s results which went in our favor. The World Baseball Classic finally started this week but only with the Asian countries so far competing like China, Chinese Taipei, Korea and Japan. Action has been good, and Korea upsetting Japan was a terrific result for us but we can’t wait for the big teams like USA, Dominican Republic and Venezuela to start playing. I would have to say our customers know more about this event than us as they are on top overall at the moment even with the Korea-Japan upset. Major League Baseball kicked off this week as well with exhibition games and we can’t wait until the regular season kicks off April 2nd.
Tiger Woods outlasted a star studded field to win the Ford Championship at +350. With the US Masters only 4 weeks away he is attracting a lot of action. We reopened our US Masters betting with Tiger Woods at +250 and immediately received over $5000 on him to win within the space of about 30 minutes this morning. Currently Tiger is +230 and still attracting money. Big names like Phil Mickelson, Vijay Singh and Ernie Els can still be had a good value between the 9/1-14/1 range. I hope everyone bet some winners, but if not there is always this week.
