Why do people buy MLB SEASON tickets??

81 games is unreal.

Anything more than a 15-20 game pack seems excessive for baseball.

Would love season tickets for football and half season for basketball.

Dont get wrong,.I LOVE BASEBALL.. ONE of the best sports there is,..im just curious as to season ticket holder thoughts..

Lived in Toronto all my life and haven't been to more then i'd say 4-5 Blue Jays games. I've had my hands on hundreds of tickets and given them away. I HATE BASEBALL WORST SPORT IN AMERICA!!!!!

I totally agree. I go about 5-7 times a year and I love it.......but that's because it's only 5-7 days out of the year and that's what makes it special.

they split them up among co-workers, family, and friends. they are easily resellable since they are probably halfway decent seats. no one (although i know of a few) would actually go to every game especially at 2011 prices. you'd go broke on the concessions.. which incidentally makes me wonder why people have to eat so much at a 3 hour ball game. eat before you go in and after the game is over if you have to but to pay those concession prices you'd have to be rich or insane or both.

My father and two uncles all live in Tampa now and they split 3 seats of season tickets to the Rays. Everyone gets 3 seats to 27 home games and they split up the good tickets accordingly. It actually works out alright because they are all fans of different teams (Yankees, Red Sox and Tigers). They bought the tickets before the Rays were any good and it's ridiculous how cheap they are.

Baseball is my favorite sport....I can get season tickets for The Pirates for about 400 bills. Nowadays its still cheaper to buy the instant 5 dollar tickets off of stubhub and then just sitting wherever you want once you get into the stadium. I understand that its different if you're a fan for a team that actually gets good crowds though.

I wouldn't mind having a season ticket package for the Reds. I don't like football games live and would rather watch them at home. I don't care for basketball so much either.

Ha exactly what i do here in Tampa buy 5 dollar tickets and just go down to the 70-80 dollar seats
