And if it is, why even bother to handicap? Just keep betting games as the lines start to move.

Not that easy, there are different 'types' of steam most of which are the 'public' moving the line.

Blindly betting Reverse Line Moves OTOH is profitable but only if you can get the best odds. The best odds tend to be at the books that will boot you for betting them.
