Gambling attracts some of the slimiest low lifes that exist in this world....keep that in mind and never trust anyone when it comes to sports betting..

SBR is kind of like a hockey game. When a fight breaks out we will usually sit back and let it play out and eventually move in and dole out some minor infractions. You see guys complaining about their minor infractions all the time. Some guys go to far and get a major time out, I won't mention any names but phonically speaking it may sound like 'Bait Men'.

Keep in mind that different forums here are moderated differently. Players Talk is like the club house lounge. If you dont like the smell of beer and cigars and seeing wet tee shirts you could go to the sports forums which do not allow shots and general rough play.

Go back and look at the posts and threads on here from before our time. This isn't what SBR was 'built on'. There is a marked difference in threads and posts now. Even from when I started lurking here 2 years ago. But every successful business evolves with it's customers/visitors and maybe swain doesn't like the way it's changed. There's nothing wrong with having an opinion - just as certain people have started threads complaining about the Saloon. Or about the removal of signatures. Or about prices going up in the store. All evolutions of the site.

I'd much rather read this kind of complaint/feedback than the ones from people crying about having their points turned off, begging for other posters to be unbanned, etc... At least swain was polite and respectful to the very people who started this site and those who help to maintain it instead of just saying 'this is crap, you're crap, it's all crap', blah blah blah.

I'm not completely opposed to his points but I wasn't around way back then and I don't intent to go digging into old posts to find out. I will say that I enjoy sbr as is, and I think the fact that you can talk about *anything* going on in your life here, be it porn/sexual harrasment/etc is what makes this board fun. The fact that I can photoshop JJ's head onto chearleaders and celebrities is quite enjoyable.

Perhaps you should look at the gambling subforums? They tend to be a bit more serious..

Cripes no! Until a couple of days ago, I was posting from my iphone for like 3 or 4 weeks. There's no hope in hell I would've suggested another subforum be added - it was hard enough to remember to click on forums other than Tennis and PT as it was. But it's obviously not going anywhere, so now I'm just grateful I'm back on my computer again. "View New Posts" is a poster's best friend.

OP is certainly entitled to his opinions, and a response from management; however, it doesn't mean anything changes. I think it is clear from the response to this thread that the vast majority of SBR doesn't have a problem with things being rough around the edges. Hang around any sportsbook, racetrack, poker room, pool hall, etc. , and things will be just as vulgar.

OP is civilized. Good for him. His failure is thinking a gambling forum should be.

He should attend one of those gamblers breakfasts with JJ. That would loosen him up in more ways than one.

I agree that SBR needs to understand what they are promoting! SEX, drugs, gambling, etc.
