I'm assuming it's exactly like every other over populated area in the world. Big buildings, lots of people, lots of traffic (auto or foot) and plenty of dining/entertaining options.

Great place.
The island is more cosmopolitan/westernised.
Kowloon and the New Territories are more Cantonese/Chinese and feel more like, I think, Hong Kong should.

hong kong can be a lot of fun. jj if you really are looking to track someone down and collect in hk, get at me. no way you will be able to do it without local assistance. the criminals in hk don't play and they would make quick of you if you went in solo on your jersey tough guy schtick. they'd probably cook your rug and make you eat it.
