Well, nobody's really good enough to carry a team by themselves in this league. As much as this is a superstars' league, you still can't win without a supporting cast. Just look at what Kobe Bryant has done for the Lakers this year and then look at their 28-28 record and watch them struggle to hold on to a playoff spot. The Cavaliers with Lebron are about four games better.

The league is marketing itself through superstars, instead of teams. So after MJ, Shaq, (and Kobe?), they have to have the next one ready. Not LeBron's fault. Just the way Stern sees things. Ironically, the NBA grew into a prime time sport back in the early 80's when teams like the Lakers began to stress team over individual.

He's only overrated insofar as history might go. The reason for that is this has to be the worst era of NBA basketball that I can recall. LeBron is the best player by a mile. That doesn't speak to him insomuch as it speaks to the current state of the NBA.Comment
