American Idol - anybody watching?

AI has shown six hours of auditions so far. Normally I've spotted somebody to keep an eye on but not this year.. The end of the show sob stories are up to par but not the singing yet in my opinion

you're right, unlike every yr, not one has made me say.. WOW... omg, this guy/girl is great.. not yet. talent this year is crap up till now. however, here are the 3 best to date IMO.. you should see at least 2 of these 3 in the top 12.

Steve Medina, brent loewenstern (red head).. and Travis Orlando.. All 3 have great voices, great story behind them and great personalities, and decent looks

You're wrong. AI is all about bringing in the viewers. now that they lost Simon, they are desperate. so they'll always focus on the medina and his GF in the front row on her wheelchair. they want viewers to tune in and have a following. Medina is a gold mine for AI this year.

And of the 150 or so we haven't heard yet, 12 of them have to be better than Chris Medina.... Or it's going to be a longggggg season.

If I had to pick one to watch now it would be Molly DeWolf the girl whose interning at the White House. But she gasps for air between each line of the song and that is freaking annoying!

Meh, I thought the talen this year was about par with the past few years. Some great stories though, and Medina has some talent to go with that story. He will garner votes based on the story alone, so IMO he will be the early fave.

Yeah, his singing was probably the best I have heard thus far, or in the top 3 at least.

But talent alone is rarely what wins, as we all know.

The show isnt that bad this year. Even with Simon gone, its alright. I still think Randy sucks, but Im glad I dont have Paula & Kira (or whatever her name was) over analyzing everything like a dumb ass.

As for the talent, every year I hear how this year is better than the last or in the top, lets wait till we get to see who gets on the show, then I'll judge it and start picking winners.

I watched the entire season last year. It pretty much sucked. The talent wasn't very good. The song choices were horrible for the most part. I'm not watching this year. At least they got rid of that idiot, Ellen DeGeneres.

nina, no offence, i love you and all, but i am in no way ever ever again opening up this AI thread.. you cost me big tonight. i open up to read your post and i see chris medina's name, i read spoiler and i also saw TOP 24. in 0.2 secs, i clicked X.. now i don't know what that meant, but i have a feeling you said you saw the AI spoiler and said medina is out.. omg.. nina, i do NOT want to know any spoilers.. i want to be surprised. so i will never open this thread again, hope you understand.

nina, in my 10 yrs of AI, never have i looked more forward to a season like this year. i looooove the contestants. i love their characters. i am in love with Jaycee Badeaux, he's my fav. i looooove Brent Lowenstein, i love Casey Abrams, i love robbie rosen, i love Stefano Langone, and even chris medina, who i am not so sure anymore if he is there.

This should be a great season and i cant wait.. I am predicting Brent Lowenstein goes really far. they will love him, he seem to have a great personality and a great voice. and i know he won't win, but i pray to GOD Jaycee Badeaux goes very far. it will be so fun to see him in the top 5.. he made me shed a tear last show.i love the kid. he is the fat Justin Bieber, but with a better voice, much better. they even have the same initials.

I can't wait for season 10.. i am so excited. and i was not going to watch on acct o simon gone. thank god i did. me and the GF are loving this show. way better than the previous yrs. i dont miss simon anymore. i love tyler. i would not make the trade right now for simon to come back.

I only watch the beginning when all the bad singers are on. I sit and wonder what kind of friends they have that say they can sing.
