I actually might have to give Brock the edge on this one.

Sammy's actually positive units on the football season. His basketball skills are another matter.

They're both perennial losers. Sam loses lunch money and Brock loses mortgage money.

Brock is in a worse spot therefore Sam is the better (smarter?) capper.

                  both are great capers

both can be streaky and both can spot big one-off winners

i am getting better at reading there tendancies

i knew brocker's ohio st pick would be a winner, also knew his wichita st pick was risky

maybe I should start a thread caping the capers, saying when to tail them and when to fade

                    NONE OF THE ABOVE

in fact, no one on sbr is a good capper. a good capper has nothing to do with picking winners. it's all about betting the game at a good price. if you tell me you like PIT -3 and it closes at PIT -5.5 and it loses 44-3, you have capped the game properly.. if you say you like PIT -3 and it closes at PIT -1 and PIT wins 44-0, you have capped the game badly.

To be a good capper has nothing to do with who wins. it's all about the #. I'd rather bet a guys bets that is 20-80 over his last 100 games but always beats the closer, than a guy that's 80-20 in his last 100 games and always bets against the #. Ask any book, they'll tell you the same thing.

Even though the guy that is 20-80 over his last 100 is losing short term, he will more likely win in the long run since he can beat the closing number at a consistent basis and therefore is more dangerous to a bookmaker.
