I know they need a lot of help but this draft is deep at the top. Bush has sooo much upside it seems like a no brainer. Kind of like trading for Babe Ruth.

You look at this draft and after the 1st 18 its very average. I'd be shocked to see them work a deal that could get them 2 top 8th-12th picks this year(2 first rounders) and a 1st rounder next year, or at least a 2nd and 3rd next year or something similiar, which that would be some pretty good value.

They's be verysmart to trade that pick because one, Young and Bush are not at all what people think they are, especially Young or any QB for that matter that is like him. Time has proven, those kind of quarterbacks do not work in the NFL and his arm "won't come around" as people like to think.

Having said that, in the very least they could get an Eli Manning type deal with swapping 1sts this year with a team(still top 8) and then get next years 1st which will give them two first's next year. This is the deal you should do unoless you are going to take a franshise QB. For example, we won't see how it works out until Eli's and Rivers' development comes too, but the Chargers pretty much got Philip Rivers and Shawne Merriman and a couple other late picks(don't know who they are) for Eli. Wasn't Merriman the defensive rookie of the year.

Like I said, teams only regret trades like that when they lose out on great QB's. San Diego benefittied when they traded nout of the #1 slot to get LT and let the Falcolns take another one of those running QB's who will never turn into a quality QB.

John, what's the word in Houston about this? How close are they to really doing this?

I think they are just shopping for a Hershel Walker type deal if they could get it. There is no mystery they are in dire need of offensive linemen, actually they need a lot of help. My guess is unless someone ponys up 3 1st rounders+ they will take Bush.

Houston now with Kubiak as head coach probably has the same philosophy as they did in Denver that it's not the back it's the system.

John, would you rather have Bush or the draft choices/potentional players?
