Then why can we only name one of their players.. and that fukking player is David Beckham for crying out loud.. Also we don't know the name of their teams..

I think they should be popular in the US first before being called the No.1 sport in the world..

First of all, the world doesn't revolve around the US.
I'm not even going to start listing players of the top of my head, I'd be here for hours.

It is the cheapest sport for kids to play world wide, no equipment required other than a ball.
I like my football and hoops, but soccer is by far the No. 1 sport in the world.

Maybe it's just you. I can name all starting eleven lineups of most Premier League teams as well as other leagues without using a dictionary. It's called watching the games on TV. And for the mentally challenged they put the players names on the back of the jerseys.

Ask 100 Germans or Brits to name an NBA (or NHL or MLB) player and you will get 90+ blank stares and maybe 5 Michael Jordans.
You cannot name soccer players because you have no interest in soccer. Simples.

What about your number #1 Star, Landon Donovan.

At least you must have heard that name before.

By The Way the world doesn't revolve around the US.

Hey Pavy how about those Falcons you were running your mouth about buddy!? Lmao. Nice call.

But yes, Pavy is correct about the soccer. It is the #1 sport in the world, and it should be. I would LOVE to one day go to a World Cup final, and even probably more so a Champions League final. It is a big difference when you have a dog in the fight. Research the histories of the English Premier League teams, and pick one you would want to see win. Then, you become a fan of that team...before long, you are DVRing the games and hoping your team doesn't fall from grace like my Scousers have. 10 years strong now, I've spent a lot of time following my adopted team!

Because half of the countries involved in soccer don't even have the internet. The world wide web is key in this equation.

The answer is simple. It is most watched and most money involved sport in the world. Sorry your (and my) beloved NFL is not.
